Thoughtful Thursday #7 - 2025 The Big V-Day Dilemma (2/13/2025)

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I know I know...Hallmark Holiday and such. I bought the Valentine's for school, filled out the cards, made the snacks, filled the candy jars, and now I have to decide what to do at home. Carmen's gift will arrive and since she opens all my packages any way (like a good teen daughter always does) it will work out beautifully and I ordered exactly what she wanted from Ulta so I know she'll be happy. I'll give Andre some money to take his sweetie out, so that's not a problem. But what about the table? The table? You ask... Well - for as long as I can remember my Dad would place my Valentine gifts on the table so I could wake up and feel special Valentine's morning. It's a tradition I continued long after he went to Heaven to be with Jesus. This is the first year it's just me and the kids though. This sounds trivial, but all the years I was married I'd still put gifts on the table and usually just skip myself in hopes that ...

Thoughtful Thursday #6 - 2025 5 Star Product Review for Frownies

Nothing happening here at all... lol Actually, there's a lot happening! Even though I applied them incorrectly the first time (shown above), I LOVE Frownies! Check out there website for all the details:  https://www.frownies.com/ I strongly urge you to watch a few videos FIRST but once you get the hang of these little beauties, you'll wake up with fewer wrinkles! (as a side note, I'm not sure why my mouth looks funny - I have not had a stroke - I must have been thinking something odd when I took this selfie) I'm going to use these for 6 months and report back on how my deep forehead wrinkle is doing. His name is Charles by the way... and I'd like him to go away! Today's post was penned by Crystal J. Casavant with the help of her deep forehead wrinkle, Charles. Crystal Casavant writes. Everything. If you follow her blog you have likely laid eyes on every thought she has ever had. Her debut novel, It Was Never About Me, Was It?  is still a work in progress a...

Thoughtful Thursday #5 - 2025 Product Review for Chunky Yarn on Amazon

My first crochet project I gathered my materials from Hobby Lobby but quickly came to the realization I needed more yarn and when I went back they had run out of the color I started with. I ended up with a lovely love sack using 4 different colors. I decided the next project I was going to do better - and I ordered this amazing Chunky Yarn from Amazon! Here is what I ended up with! A queen size crochet blanket all in the same color - it took me 30 skeins of yarn and it's incredibly heavy but imagine how excited I was to put my new weighted blanket on my bed! It's super soft, easy to work with, and when the yarn is delivered, it's vacuum packed so you'll find it hard to believe there's really 10 skeins in the tiny box!  5 stars - I love love love it! Today's 5 star review was penned by Crystal J. Casavant Crystal Casavant writes. Everything. If you follow her blog you have likely laid eyes on every thought she has ever had. Thoughtful Thursday #3 - 2025 - What I think is HOT! IL MAKIAGE review

Many of us in my household love make-up and all things beauty related! I love the thought of anything that will help me look more youthful. I kept seeing videos and testimonials for a company called IL MAKIAGE and I just kept scrolling for months and months and months. In the meantime, I tried a few other brands and I was disappointed. The price for IL MAKIAGE was a deterrent for me, but in reality I spent hundreds of dollars trying to find something that would work. I decided to bite the bullet and try it before you buy it with the IL MAKIAGE. I love that I had 14 days to try the product before deciding to keep it. I paid the $6 ish dollars to get it delivered (after taking a lengthy quiz on what might be best for me color and product wise).  I received my products and fell in love with them. I am not an annual subscriber and have added a few things onto my recurring order. This is a great product for any skin type but I'm close to the big 5 0 and I can say it helps hide wr...
