(an easy recipe even children can help with)
Preheat oven to 325 F
Grease 9x13 pan
Combine:
4 1/2 C old fashioned oats
1 C wheat flour or all purpose
2 t baking soda
2/3 C melted butter
3/4 C honey
1/3 C dark brown sugar
Options:
1 t vanilla, 1 C raisins, 1 C nuts
Or
1 t almond extract, 1 C dried cherries, 1 C white chocolate chips
Or
1 t vanilla, 1 C chocolate chips, 1 C nuts of your choice
Or
1 t vanilla & 2 C mini chocolate chips
Combine ingredients (adding options last) and then press into the pan and bake for 20 ish minutes. Let cool, cut, enjoy!
I like to freeze after cutting and then toss into individual snack bags for on the go munching!
